The Metrology Engineer is:

Experienced technical lead with Woollam experience, adhering to an “engineering led” philosophy in which the engineer is comfortable learning or performing all aspects of tool operation, application and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Provide effective pass-downs to support uninterrupted operation for characterization and metrology activities.

Sustain existing metrology in the areas of, n & k dielectric thickness ellipsometry, Atomic Force Microscopy measurements (AFM), thickness profilometry, Dark Field Wafer Defect Inspection, Equivalent Oxide Thickness (EOT) gate measurement, unpatterned surface defects inspection, microscope inspection, Four Point Probe Contact Resistivity measurements, film stress and wafer bow measurements, film thickness Reflectometry measurements, Total Reflect X-Ray Fluorescent Spectroscopy measurements, Opto-Acoustic Thickness Metal Film measurement, IR spectroscopy, defect imaging, thick film measurements, in-line electrical wafer probing measurements, Metrology Equipment recipe creations, calibrations, accuracy and repeatability control, Gauge R&R study.

Requirements

Wafer characterization experience in a fab in the area of Metrology

Ability to operate Metrology tools, write and run Metrology recipes, inspect wafers under the microscope, and perform basic calibrations, accuracy and repeatability controls, and Gauge R&R study.

Required Education and Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree is required. Masters preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience required.

• PhD with 1 to 3 years Experience is Ideal

Job Responsibilities

• Setup, operation, and tear down of high-speed pick and place, screen print, x-ray and re-flow ovens.

• Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports in order to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.

• Visually inspect all components using a microscope.

• Position, align, and adjust work pieces and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required, Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or similar preferred

• 3+ years experience operating SMT (Surface Mount Technology) equipment

• Knowledge of the entire SMT process. This includes Paste Printing, Solder Paste Inspection (SPI), Placement, Part Verification Systems, Reflow, and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI).

• Candidate should understand SMT production processes well enough to recognize and fix small issues before they become big ones. 

• Understand IPC-A-610 Rev D requirement of placement and solder fillet.

• Experience with Speedline paste printers, PARMI SPI, Fuji placement machines (NXT, XPF, and AIMEX), Flexa Programming, Cogiscan Part Verification, Electrovert ovens, and Nordson-Yestech AOI machines are preferred.

Summary::

We are looking for an ambitious person to fill a Manufacturing Technician position in our Clean Room and Manufacturing Operations in Austin, TX. This person will perform a variety of tasks, including electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.

Job Duties

• Read and follow instructions dictated in OMS and/or assembly drawings
• Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly
• Assemble parts or units, and position, align and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies or frames, using hand tools and power tools
• Connect cables, tubes, and wiring, according to specifications.
• Read assembly drawings and specifications to determine component parts and assemble sequences of electromechanical units
• Package and/or pack assemblies per clean room protocols.
• File, lap, and buff parts and subassemblies using grease paddles or oilcans.
• Work in a clean room environment and follow clean room guidelines
• Follows and provides feedback on assembly instructions and/or blueprints to install items such as; hardware, wiring harnesses, panels, components, sub-assemblies, etc.
• Attach name plates and mark identifying information on parts
• Operate small cranes to transport or position large parts.
• Follow standard workmanship practices for electro-mechanical assembly.

Experience:

• Must have 2+ years experience as an Assembler/Manufacturing Technician
• 2 years of cleanroom experience is a PLUS 
• Must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

Productions Scheduler:

In this key position, you will be responsible for scheduling the production operations for multiple production/assembly lines. Additionally, you will be responsible for materials management for your assigned production lines. This includes planning and ordering materials, through internal transfer orders or direct buys from suppliers, to ensure materials are on hand to meet customer demand.

Responsibilities:

• Balance organization production ability, set up, arrange, and audit organization production plan and material plan.
• Manages the capacity plans based on the Master Planning Schedule. Recommends adjustments to ensure optimal throughput and cost efficiencies.
• Process MRP buy messages ensuring on time delivery of raw materials
• Help maintain ERP system parameters
• Build and cultivate relationships with suppliers.
• Communicate with various departments within the organization on production issues and customer orders.
• Ensure all missed orders have been identified and pro-actively communicated to our customer service/scheduling

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-3 years of related materials management experience
• Experience in high-mix manufacturing operations, ERP planning systems.
• Lean manufacturing and/or six sigma certifications is a plus
• Computer skills, and MS Office (excel, word, power point)
