Support the Sales team by setting appointments with prospective clients, build on your sales and negotiation skills, and earn commission in addition to your base pay. As a Sales Development Representative, you'll learn about what goes into staffing sales and how to eventually become a successful Senior Account Executive or Account Manager yourself. Just over 70% of our Sales Development Reps are promoted after their first year -- we're invested in your development, too.

Balance is a Staffing agency that's been around 25 years. Our focus is on general labor, light industrial, IT/Engineering and Semiconductor positions all across the United States. We are values driven and know that the staffing industry could use a little more Balance.
In order to remain competitive with our candidate pool, it's important that we have a healthy, diverse book of clients that we work with on a regular basis. This is where our Sales team comes in.
This position is primarily remote, with a preference for those who live near the Merced Balance Staffing office and who can work to Pacific Standard Time.
As a Sales Development Representative, you will:
* Make 40-50 outbound calls to a targeted list of clients* Hit sales goals of 3-5 appointments a week* Receive yet overcome objections from clients with skill and tact* Make notes on our internal CRM, Avionte* Train during Pacific Standard Time and then work in your time zone after training* Undergo paid training* Have fun!
Ideal experience and skills:
* 1-3 years' experience in outbound call center or similar sales environment* Strong communication, ability to operate professionally * Relationship building skills* Computer literacy and a typing speed of 40 WPM ideally
This is a base + commission position, with a starting rate of $17-$23ph depending on your location. Every Sales Development Rep earns commission. Commission rates are between $25-$10,000 per target met and most SDR's can expect anywhere from $5,000-$10,000 in commission their first year (on average).
