We are a rapidly growing accounting and tax firm that exclusively serves small-to-mid sized business clients via three offices across the country. With significant capital raised for growth, and a strong industry reputation, we have shifted into our next phase of expansion and will be opening a new office in Austin, Texas.
We are actively recruiting a talented leader to join the team as the Accounting Manager. This individual will play a pivotal role in building this office from the ground level into a firm that consistently exceeds a double-digit growth rate and actively advances the mission of helping local businesses flourish.
As an Accounting Manager, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a start-up, highly growth oriented small business accounting firm. Your main responsibilities will be to hire, train, and develop a top-level team of Accountants to build and grow long-lasting relationships and to provide outstanding professional services to our small business clientele. You will take the lead in key personnel decisions, including hiring and cultivating talent. You will maximize our unique way of servicing clients by managing these team members and keeping workflow running smoothly throughout the year and ensuring delivery of timely quality services and deliverables, which include monthly bookkeeping, financial statements, sales tax, payroll services and advisory for small business owners. You will be part of a high energy, highly collaborative entrepreneurial environment, where your desire to build something special and to grow a firm is just as important as your technical ability!
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 5 years recent experience in an accounting firm working with small business clients, including having a significant amount of client facing interactions

Minimum of 2 years recent experience in managing small to mid-sized teams

CPA designation required

Excellent people-management and communication skills, with experience in hiring, training, motivating, and developing staff

Collaborative, can-do attitude with a passion for building more efficient processes and teams

General knowledge of sales taxes and filings required

Must be experienced with QuickBooks and MS Office. Especially helpful (but not required) is familiarity with Thomson Reuters’ suite of production and practice management software.
